It is the last day of the month and I needed to fit in a posting about the brand of the month for "Wir Lackieren..." That is German for " We paint..." :) This is a year long series hosted by Lotte and Tine where they showcase unused shades of nail polishes in there collection. There is a brand theme for each month. For the month of January, they are highlighting the brand Lacquester. This is a new brand to me as they are based out of The Netherlands and do not ship to the US. They do have stockists that supply the US and Canada, so there is a way to easily get your hands on their shades. I got a handful of polishes from Lotte when I visited her in Germany this past fall. I even got to meet Tine, too! So I wanted to try and contribute to Wir Lackieren... with them each month. You can join in, too, if you would like. For the shades I am showing today, I do not know if they are still available but at least they will give you an idea about what the brand has to offer. I really liked them and can't wait to get my grubby little hands on more colors. Let's take a look!
48 is the new 39! - A dark grey/brown linear holo with fine bronze/copper shimmer. Such a nice shade for winter! The base color looks more brown in the sunlight and more grey in low light. The shimmer does help bring out the brown more. Very nice formula here. I am showing you two coats with glossy top coat.
Is it Angel or Ange? - A medium orange linear holo with golden microshimmer. Yay! Orange! This shade of orange has a slight peachy tone to it. It isn't too bright and would look great on darker skin tones. Again, very nice formula on these holo shades. This is two coats with glossy top coat in my swatches.
Mortal Coil - A deep grey blue base packed with shifting multichrome shimmer and teeny silver holographic flakies. Really nice colorshiftyawesomeness here! The base overall have a more grey tone to me but at the edges you can see more blue in it. The shimmer really shifts nicely from red to orange to green. In the macro shot, I am using two light sources to show off the shift better. The full mani shots are under a single light source. This one is slightly more sheer than the other two with it having a more jelly style base. I am showing you three thin coats with glossy top coat here.
Obviously, Lotte knows my style. She always sets aside great orange, grey and brown shades for me. She knows what I like :) Overall, I am impressed by this brand. The formulas were great and the color combinations were very on trend. These shades are available on the Lacquester online store. Be sure to check out the international stockists to see if they are also carrying these colors. If you want to see more from this brand, check out Lotte's and Tine's blog posts this past month.
Smooches!
