Today, I have the amazing new winter collection from KBShimmer. I am a little late getting this up to you all but have no fear, all of these colors will be available for a while. As with most KBShimmer collections, there is a wide variety of colors and finishes to choose from. There is sure to be something in this collection that you will love. Let's get this party started!
Ink Again - A bright cobalt blue linear holographic. This is super bright and bold and super rainbowy. The formula is wonderful, just like you would expect from KBShimmer. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top. This shade of blue is great all year round.
Get to the Poinsettia - A bright red linear holographic. This shade of red deepens with each coat. It is almost a one coater but has more of a pink hue at one coat. This is two coats here and the red is much deeper but still leans a litter pink. Fantastic formula and awesome holo effect on this one. This is topped with Clearly On Top.
Have a Look-Ski - A teal leaning deep blue linear holographic. This shade looks a little more teal in real life than it does in my photos. It is deeper and more green toned than Ink Again. Same amazing formula though. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top.
Holy Kale - A deep green linear holographic jelly packed with bright blue/teal microflakies. This is so freaking pretty! The formula was a little sheer and I needed to three coats to get it fully opaque but the payoff of flakies is totally worth it. Smooth and squishy and mesmerizing. You need this.
Whiskey Business - A warm golden yellow metallic flakie polish with flashes of holographic microglitter and silver flecks. I really like this shade of gold. It reminds me of the Baroque period where everything was decadent. This was very opaque and I only needed two coats for full opacity. I think this shade would look amazing on darker skin tones. It is a great addition to the Birthstone finish line.
Royal to a Fault - A cobalt blue duochrome glass fleck polish. This polish shifts from cobalt blue to royal blue to royal purple to fuchsia pink. The glass flecks in here shimmer so nicely off of the deep blurple base. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top. My macro shot is with two different light sources to show off the shift.
Just Duvet It - A deep plum purple with pink iridescent shimmer and a sprinkling of holographic microglitter. This polish is dark but subtle. The shimmer is not in your face but still visible on the nail. The formula was nice and I only needed two coats for full opacity. I topped this with Clearly On Top.
Spruce Things Up - A deep evergreen jelly packed with holographic microglitter. This is a simple sparkly polish that is great for Christmas. Pair this with some red or gold and you have an instant holiday manicure. The formula was nice a squishy. I am showing you two thicker coats with Clearly On Top here.
Soot and Ladders - A black jelly filled with tiny rainbow microflakies. If you like to wear black nails but want a little something extra, this is the polish for you. The shimmer is very subtle but does catch the light nicely. Wonderful formula here. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top.
Take Me For Granite - A soft, pale grey crelly with a mix of black, grey and white glitters in various sizes. This is the only crelly in the collection. I really like the finished look of this polish on the nails. It is interesting but not too "hey, look at me!". You could definitely wear this to the office. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top here.
Chai-huahua - A brick red creme. Yummy! I always love KBShimmer cremes. They have a fantastic formula and most are one coaters. This is no exception. I am showing you two coats here but if you were careful with application, you could get away with just one coat.
Bling in the New Year - A silver metallic flakie polish with a splash of green, purple and blue microflakies. Talk about blingy! This is another addition to the Birthstone finish line. It was very hard to photograph correctly because it is just so reflective and shiny. Great formula and I only needed two coats for full opacity.
Haute Mess - A glitter bomb of metallic glitters in a clear base. There is a complete mix of metals in this polish. We have gold, silver, copper, rose gold and holographic glitters in here. Because it is so glitter dense, it gives you full coverage very easily. I am showing you two coats with Clearly On Top here. You could also wear this over a color base for a completely different look. I just like that bling!
Ornamentally Flawless - A clear based glitter bomb filled with metallic glitters in jewel tones. This one is super glitter packed as well. You could also wear this in two coats for full opacity on it's own but I am showing you one coat over Soot and Ladders here. Even with one coat, my entire nail is almost completely covered. And how cool does it look with a matte top coat?
Yeti or Not - A pale greyed out white textured polish packed with iridescent and holographic microglitters. The texture in this polish is subtle but still textured. You can easily add a glossy top coat to bring out the sparkle and smooth out the texture if you prefer. I actually wish it was a little more textured but I still like the snow like effect it gives. I am showing you two coats on it's own with no top coat.
