I have the latest collection of pretty polishes from KBShimmer to share with you all today! The Fall 2016 Collection launched last week and it is packed with some very lovely shades. As always, KBShimmer has made a collection that includes a variety of colors and finishes. There is sure to be something for every person to love here. There are some classic fall inspired colors as well as some shades not typically associated with the autumn season. Let's take a look at these beauties!
Turning Pointe - This shade is a new addition to the Mega Flame line. The base is a lavender leaning baby pink jelly that is packed with silver holographic microglitter. It is a girly and sparkly shade for sure. The original Mega Flame Collection didn't have any light and delicate colors like this, so it is a nice addition to the line. Application was nice. I did two thick coats with top coat here but some may prefer a third coat.
Orchidding Me? - A bright and warm purple linear holographic. Wowza! This one is super pretty and very opaque. I just needed one coat for full opacity here. I really like these warmer purple holos and I am sure others do, too. It will be a crowd favorite as the holo rainbow really pops.
Poppy Kisses - A bright warm red linear holo. It is not as opaque as the other holo in this collection but it is still stunning. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here. Again, I like the warm understones with this shade and the holo is very apparent.
Oh My Ganache! - A dark chocolate brown linear holo. Yummy! I am a sucker from brown polishes and the added holographic shimmer is a bonus. The formula was very nice and was almost opaque in one coat. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat. The holo effect is not as strong in this one compared to the other two holos in this collection. Perfect for fall, really.
Fright This Way - A black jelly base with dark purple metallic glitters. This polish is geared towards Halloween. It actually comes with some purple bat shaped glitters that you can add on it you would like. I didn't have them to show you though but you will see them on the website when you order. The formula was decently opaque for a jelly. I am showing you two thicker coats with a glossy top coat. The glitters in here did have a slight curling effect to them which smoothed out with top coat.
The Best Mum Ever - A bright purple leaning periwinkle creme that is packed with pink iridescent flakies. I thought this one was going to be a pain to apply but it actually went on smoothly. The flakies are subtle but still very apparent in the nail. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat.
Grin and Gerbera It - A rose pink creme to add to the amazing KBShimmer creme line. This may look like a bit of a grandma shade but I enjoy the color. It is feminine but bold and very work appropriate. Beautiful formula. I am showing you one coat with a glossy top coat here.
Little Boy Hue - A slightly dusty baby blue creme. This pretty blue ended up being much brighter on the nail than I expected it to be. Again, the formula was wonderful and I only needed two coats for this swatch.
Tiers of Joy - A yellow toned nude creme with small pink and brown glitters and golden shimmer. This is a sublte neutral polish with a little added sparkle to make it stand out. Another work appropriate polish here. The formula was nice and I used two coats with a glossy top coat here.
Sweet Devotion - A white crelly base with a rainbow of metallic hex and bar glitters. This is a fun polish and a must have for the white crelly lovers out there. The bar glitters are small and unobtrusive. I am showing you three coats with a glossy top coat here. You could also do one coat over a white base and get a nice effect.
Sage It Ain't So - A dusty sage green crelly with a sprinkling of light purple, copper and silver glitters. The glitter mix in this polish is a little sparse but the application was pretty smooth. I am showing you two thicker coats with a glossy top coat here.
Even though this is a fall collection, the polishes can we worn at any time of the year. I thought the holos were good fall colors but the rest of them seemed more like a spring collection. My faves are Oh My Ganache! and Tiers of Joy. Which are you faves? This collection is available now for purchase. The polishes all sell for $9.25 each and they have a special for getting the whole collection.
