Today, I have some fun shimmers and crellies to share with you from an indie nail polish brand that is new to the blog. Cadillacquer is a indie company out of Switzerland. They were actually once of the first international indie brands that I have ever order from, which was years ago. I always loved their interesting and contrasting color combos. It has been a long time since I have tried any new shades, so I was thrilled to review this collection for Color4Nails. They are the American stockist for the brand and offer great international shipping rates. The Valhalla Collection is available now. There are 10 beautiful shades all inspired by Norse mythology. Let's take a look at these pretties!
Bragg - A turquoise green crelly with bright coppery orange small glitters. This is my fave! The formula was really nice and the colors go so well together. There was good glitter pay off and opacity of the base. I used two coats with a glossy top coat here. Lurve!
Freja - A purple leaning pink crelly packed with blue microflakies and aqua glitters. Another fun color combo here. The glitter pay off was good and the polish applied very smoothly. I did two coats here with a glossy top coat.
Loki - A dark dusty navy jelly with bright red glitters. I thought this one would be my fave based on what it looked like in the bottle. The red glitters were stuck to the sides of the bottle and didn't come out on the brush very well. I let it sit upside down for hours before using it and still didn't get that much glitter to come out. This is three coats with a glossy top coat here. It is still a very cool color combo, I just wanted more glitter.
Idun - A sea foam green crelly packed with teeny tiny sapphire and ruby glitters. Pretty and dainty, this one! I really like the effect that these teeny tiny glitters give off. The formula was good and it applied smoothly even with all of the microglitter. I did two thicker coats here but if you like a thinner coat you may need to do three.
Ran - An icy blue creme base with bits of bright blue glitters and holographic shimmer. This polish feels very wintery. This one did apply a little more thickly than the rest but it was still easy. I did two thickish coats with a glossy top coat here. Very pretty.
Valhalla - A dark dusty purple with blue/grey flakies and a little holo sparkle. This is a nice shade of purple that can be worn year round. The formula was nice as well with only two coats needed for full opacity.
Odin - A deep blue jelly with tons of bright blue flakies and linear holographic shimmer. This polish looks like the night's sky on your nails. I love these types of polishes! Again, the formula was very nice and applied smoothly. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here.
Heimdal - A slate grey crelly/jelly with holographic shimmer and shifty pink microflakies. Another fave of mine in the collection. I just love grey polishes :) The formula was very nice and applied smoothly. This this two coats with a glossy top coat.
Elli - A deep warm purple crelly with a nice holographic shimmer and pink/purple flecks. Super vampy with a little shimmer! This one applied like a dream and was pretty opaque. I used two coats here with a glossy top coat.
Balder - A soft lavender crelly with a nice linear holographic effect and a minty/golden shifty shimmer. This is a very pretty, girly, springtime shade. I am sure a lot of people will love it. I did three thin coats with a glossy top coat here.
What a pretty collection! My fave is definitely Bragg. Which one is your fave? Like I said before, You can snag this collection from Color4Nails. Each polish sells for $14 each. They have great rates for both domestic and international shipping. Stock up!
Many thanks!
