On this wonderful Friday, we are taking a look at the newest Awesome Sauce Indie Box. The Cake Box is to celebrate the 1 year birthday/anniversary of the Awesome Sauce Indie Box. For this special installment, there are six polishes in this box along with four different extra goodies. Preorder started today and will continue for one week. Let's take a look at everything in this cake inspired box!
Frost Yourself - The gorgeous polish is the contribution from Ever After Polish. It is sort of nude, sort of grey, sort of icy blue. It is difficult to call this one color but I would call it a cool toned, cool ass neutral with blue sparkle. That counts, right? There is a soft linear holographic shimmer and bright blue microflakies. The formula is great and a little bit squishy in quality. This is two slightly thicker coats with a glossy top coat.
Got Cake! - This shimmery beauty is Anonymous Lacquer's contribution. It is a blue toned purple jelly base packed with silver, purple and aqua microshimmer and a little holo sparkle. Application was nice a smooth. This is two coats with a glossy top coat. Very pretty!
Cake in Your Face - Lavish Polish is contributing a delicious thermal jelly to the box. I am in love with this one. The base is a squishy, shimmery magenta that turns to a pale pink when it warms to body temp. There are some great little pink and purple holographic and iridescent glitters. The formula is good and squishy. This is three coats with a glossy top coat. You can see the transition to cold at my tips in these photos.
Raspberry Dreams - This super sparkler is from guest contributor, Nvr Enuff Polish. The base is a nice raspberry jelly and it is filled with holographic glitter, microflakies and shimmer. The formula is nice. This is three thinner coats with a glossy top coat.
Like a Fat Kid - This is the polish from a regular guest contributor, Lou It Yourself. It's a bright minty creme with fuchsia microflakie shimmer and a little bit of an aqua shimmer. The formula was okay and I just needed two coats for full opacity. A glossy top coat makes it nice a smooth.
I Never Mint to Eat the Whole Cake - Dollish Polish is another guest contributor to the box and has given us this delicious shade. It is a squishy minty crelly packed with minty shimmer and black glitters. It really looks like minty chocolate chip ice cream. This was three coats with a glossy top coat.
Here are the extra little goodies in the box! The little cupcake is a Lemon Pound Cake Soap from Ever After Polish. They make some really great smelling bath and body items. The blue starburst with iridescent shreds is a Caked Up Wax Tart from Lou It Yourself. You can use this cookie scented tart in your favorite wax melter at home. Anonymous Lacquer has included a sample of lavender/vanilla scented Cutie Balm. And the last little treat is a hand painted key chain from The Holo Pineapple. Aren't all of these extra treats cute?!
As always, you can choose to get the Awesome Sauce Indie Box with full sized bottles of polish or with small/mini sized bottles of polish. Since this box has an additional sixth contributor, it is a little more expensive than it has been in the past. The full sized option is $65 and the small sized option is $45. Shipping is not included in the price. You are able to pre-order the box from now until June 3rd. Will you be picking up this box?
