I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I had to work most of the weekend but did a get a little bit of relaxation in on Sunday. Today, I have a pretty little trio of polishes from Ellagee to share with you. It's getting to be the time when all of the Spring collections are coming out. People are tired of the winter blues and are ready for pastels and soft shades. Laura has put together a little grouping of pastel crelly polishes with interesting mixes of ultrachrome flakies and shimmers. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed all three of these polishes and really can't pick a favorite. The Petal Pushers Trio will be releasing this Friday. Let's go ahead and take a look at this pretties!
"As You Lilac It" is a blue toned lavender crelly with a mix of green/teal/aqua metallic ultrachrome flakies. This also has a nice violet shifty microshimmer running throughout. The mix of purple and green gives this a very spring time feel. The formula was quite nice. I did three thinner coats and topped it with a glossy top coat for these swatches.
"A Peony For Your Thoughts" is a peachy nude crelly base mixed with purple/blue/indigo metallic ultrachrome flakies. The microshimmer in this shade is sort of a pink and yellow shifting sort. I had a hard time capturing the true color of this polish. The color in the bottle looks more pink toned but next to my skin color it came out more peachy. I dig it though. It is another one of those nude polishes with a little something extra. I used three thin coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch.
"Mint Tulip" is a minty green crelly with pink/fuchsia/copper metallic ultrachrome flakies. There is also a nice aqua and gold shifty microshimmer mixed in. I really liked this one. I think the shimmer really stood out and the mix of mint and pink and copper is right up my alley. Fantastic formula and I did three thin coats here with a glossy top coat.
The Petal Pushers Trio will be released this Friday, Feb 26th at 6pm CST. You will be able to purchase the whole trio for $28 or the colors individually for $10.50 from the Ellagee site. Like I said before, I think all three are very nice and I would have a hard time picking just one. If you are a fan of pastels, this is a collection for you!
