I haven't shared a new Loaded Lacquer collection on the blog in a while. So, I am super excited to share Heather's newest babies to you! The Beauty & the Beast Mode Collection was inspired but working out at the gym and fitness. There are 6 polishes in this collection including linear holographics, new jiggles, flakies and glitter toppers. Something for everyone! Let's take a look :)
Let's start with the holographics in the collection. "I Sweat Glitter" is a pinky. orchid jelly with a nice linear holographic shimmer. The formula is fantastic! I used two coats with a glossy top coat and the polish practically applied itself. Lovely!
The other holographic polish in this collection is "50 Shades of Whey" and it is my fave! I am such a sucker for grey polish and this one is no exception. Since the base color of this crelly is light, the holo shimmer is not in your face. It is very soft and delicate. I used two coats with a glossy top coat and it was super dreamy to apply.
Time for the glitter toppers! "Spot Me, Bro" is a circle glitter explosion. This clear based topper is packed with multiple sizes of holographic circle glitters and some tiny microhexes. The largest circles can be a bit heavy and might need a little fishing and placement on the nail. I dabbed on one coat over "50 Shades of Whey" then topped it off with a glossy top coat. Who doesn't love circle glitter?
This next glitter topper is awesome. "Diet Starts Monday" is a clear based topper with a very interesting mix of glitters. There are some matte pastel and neon glitters, metallic dots and hexes in chocolaty colors and sprinklings of holographic microglitters. Cool color combo, right? I used one coat over "No Shirt" and didn't have to fuss with the glitters at all.
"Achieve-mint" is the new addition to the Jiggles army. I would describe this color as mint green meets pistachio. The formula on this crelly was a little tricky and streaky on the first coat. I used three coats in this swatch and it leveled out pretty evenly. I haven't used this in a jelly sandwich just yet, but I think it will sandwich well with a thin top layer. I used a glossy top coat for this swatch.
Lastly, we have the stunner and the crowd favorite of the collection. "Gym-timidation" is a black jelly jam packed fully of shifting metallic multichrome flakies. There is also a ton of bright blue microflakies in there that make it glow from within. The flakies through the entire rainbow. They go from green to gold to magenta to purple. I used three coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. the formula was awesome. To showcase the shifting colors better, I used two light sources at different angles.
And what do we do with flakies? We matte them. MATTE ALL THE FLAKIES! Haha. But seriously...just look at how the matte top coat brings out the bright blue microflakies.
