Today, I have a lovely collection to share with you. If you read my last Cirque Colors post (here), you would have heard about their collaboration with Nordstrom to create polishes for the monthly Pop-In shops. Each month, Olivia Kim curates a selection of items for a themed sale. There are clothing, accessories, shoes and beauty products. This month's theme is Poolside and Cirque Colors created 6 nail polished exclusively for sale through the Pop-In shops. There are a handful of Nordstrom stores that have an actual shop but the rest of us can purchase them online.
The Poolside Collection is lovely and I know there will be a few of these beauties you will add to your want list. There are 3 cremes, 2 holos and 1 glitter topper. Want to see them!?!?
Let's start with the cremes! This is "Santorini" and it is amazing. It has a perfect creamy formula and was opaque in two coats. It could probably be a one coater if you were really careful with application. I just love this shade of blue and so do a lot of other people. I plan on doing a little comparison of all the cobalt blues I have. I used a glossy top coat for this swatch.
Next, is another blue shade. "Monte Carlo" is a bright sky blue creme that also had a wonderful formula. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. I think this shade of blue is great for many seasons. Obviously, its a great spring and summer shade. But I also like to wear these bright cerulean blues in the winter.
"Rita" is quite glamorous! This is a tomato red creme with a hint of orange undertones. This polish was a little less opaque than the other cremes in this collection. I used two thick coats with a top coat for this swatch but it was pretty sheer on the first coat. But that little bit of sheerness gives it a little bit a a squishy look which I love. It's like a real tomato!
Now let's talk about the holos! "Julep" is a minty shade with a soft linear holographic shimmer running through it. This is such a unique color to my collection! I used two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. I bet "Julep" is going to fly off the shelf.
The other holo in this collection is "Cabana Capri". It is a sky blue linear holographic polish that is opaque in two coats. The holo in this is very soft, just like the color. Again, this is quite a unique shade to my collection. The formulas on these holos are so smooth and easy to work with.
The only glitter in the collection is "Summer Soiree". It is a glitter topper with pink and coral glitters in a clear base. There is a lot of base in this polish so the glitters are not super dense. There are satin bars and small hexes. I used one coat of "Summer Soiree" over "Santorini" with a glossy top coat for this swatch. I am interested to see what other colors people layer this glitter over!
What a cool collection, right? Well, if you want any of these lovelies, you need to act fast. The Poolside Collection will only be available from now until June 28th. If they sell out before that time, I do not believe they will be restocked. I would say the holos are a must have as well as Santorini if you don't already have a cobalt blue in your stash. Oh yeah...and shipping is free from Nordstrom.
