Since I am currently vacationing in the Florida Keys, I thought it would be fitting to share swatches of a tropical collection with you! First off, let me just state that writing blog posts poolside with a cocktail is my favorite way to write. I am confident I will get a descent amount of blog posts done in this relaxing atmosphere. Ahhh...vacation!
So let's talk about Cirque Colors and their resent limited edition Kontiki Collection! I have been a big fan of Cirque for a while now. They produce some really stunning holographics and opaque glitters. Their polishes are a little on the pricey side ($13 for a bottle) but the quality is amazing and I think they are worth every penny. The Kontiki collection consists of three bright jelly polishes with amazing shimmer. I am a sucker for jelly finishes and hadn't had any from Cirque before. I actual didn't just swatch these, I wore each of them as a whole mani for the day. Nice wear on these jellies! This collection launched in August, but I was late on the boat to get them. They are listed as limited edition, though. So, if you like these, you should pull out your credit card and snag them before they are gone for good! Let's get into some swatches and macros!
First up is Dear Dahlia. This is a deep pink berry jelly with an absolutely gorgeous shifty shimmer with sparse tiny holographic hex glitters. The shimmer was very strong and shifted from gold to green. I used three coats with a top coat and you can barely see my visible nail line.
Next, we have Thicker Than Water which was my favorite of the trio. The minty turquoise color of the base jelly is amazing! This one also had a strong green to gold shimmer with tiny little holographic glitters. I used three coats with a top coat. There was a tiny bit of visible nail line poking through, but this one was the most opaque of the bunch. So beautiful!
Finally, we have the crowd favorite of the trio, Midnight Summer. This is a cobalt blue jelly with red to green shifting shimmer. The tiny holographic glitters were much more apparent in this polish. The combination of the color and shimmer is a classic and oh so memorizing. I used three coats and a top coat. The visible nail line was most apparently in real life with this color.
So what do you guys think? Which polish is your favorite? I just love the base color of Thicker Than Water but the color combination of Midsummer Night was the most striking. Like I said before, this trio is limited edition. If you are interested in picking up these color, make sure you do so before they are all gone.
You can buy Cirque Colors from their website (amazing packaging, so it's a number one for me) or from a variety of stockists (brick and mortar stores as well as online retailers).
Thanks for stopping by! Now back some relaxing and sunshine. :)
