Inspired by Winter Holly

You may have noticed that I skipped a day according to the official holiday nail art challenge instructions (or perhaps you didn't). I thought long and hard about a mani inspired by a holiday movie and couldn't come up with anything, mostly I couldn't decide on any one movie for inspiration. I absolutely LOVE any type of sappy Holiday movie. They're cheesy, predictable, and all seem like the same story line over and over again. I can't get enough of it! What can I say? I'm a sap. I guess I have hope that that type of holiday romance will happen to me some day. :)

So I skipped right to holly nails! I struggled a bit with drawing the perfect holly. I could see this mani in my head but just couldn't get it to happen on my nails. I didn't have a stamping plate that looked quite right, so I was persistent until I could draw passable holly with my tiny nail art brush.

I love the final product! While it's not quite what I imagined, it's festive and beautiful.

Polishes used: Zoya Elisa for the base color, A-England Dragon for the Holly, and Ninja Polish His Nose So Bright for the holly berries.
