I've never disguised my love of red nail polish, so it only makes sense that this was the hardest category to narrow down to a few favorites. I instead narrowed it down to my top 10 reds. It was still challenging, but I tried to stick with newer polishes. Not all of these are 2012 releases, but since most of my collection is relatively new, 2012 was when I discovered all of these polishes. ReplyDeleteI love the Jade Holo - I need it big time! - Through all the years of hording polish, it's the reds that have the staying power. I have purged almost every shade due to a move and out of room issues, but it's the reds I have the hardest time parting with. I just don't understand when I read some blogs that say they don't wear reds! I always think they never found the right red to get them started in their comfort zone with reds. I can have anything on, go to any occassion and red always works...I had to take off my Zoya Aurora despite how much I loved it, when I put on a red light weight sweater to wear over a black t-neck and slacks for Christmas day because the purple in Aurora classed horrible...my 'nude' look is more often a great red then it is a nude!

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! When I can't decide what polish to wear or need a confidence boost I always reach for my reds. There's just something about a red that makes you feel gorgeous and glamorous. I've ended up with 4x more reds than any other color because every one gets me even when they look like one I already have! Vermelho Surreal is a must. It's the most vivid red holo I've ever seen, it's not pink-looking, just gorgeous coppery red.
