Sorry for the short absence. I was busy with the holidays and work and...just needed a little break. But I am back with more little Takko Lacquer gems to share. With no new Takkitos out to share, I am working through swatching some picks from the Black Friday sale and scores from destashes. This week, we will look at a sample polish from the Black Friday sale. During the sale this past Thanksgiving, there were mystery bags with 3 unreleased polishes available. These polishes were batches of polishes that were made as precursors to shades that were later tweaked and released or from shade that just never made it to full production. They are all still beautiful and worth sharing. So let's take a look at 2017 Sample #2!
2017 Sample #2 is a deep slate grey crelly base that is packed with fine shifting glass fleck microflakie shimmer. The shimmer shifts from bright blue to purple to pink at an angle. I like the combo of blue and grey here. It is perfect for the stormy winter days we have been having all over the country lately. The formula was quite nice and not too thick with all of the flakies. I am showing you two coats with glossy top coat here.
The first three photos were taken under a single light source. These next two photos were taken under two light sources at different angles to show off the shift of the microflakie shimmer. In real life, the shift was quite apparent.
Since this was a sample shade, I do not know if this will be available again for purchase. But I do not believe Takko Lacquer has released and similar shade of this. So, it is possible that we could see this or something similar in the future. If you want to snag this shade, be sure to scour destash sales. In the meantime, pay attention to the Takko Lacquer social media for news on new releases and restocks.
