How awesome was that eclipse?!? It was a truly amazing experience for me and I hope that you will all get to witness a total eclipse in person once in your life. I spent the day staring at the sun, so what better polish to share with you today than "My Sun" by Takko Lacquer? This is one of the brand new polishes being released for preorder this week. The Metallics in Poetry Trio is three holographic metallic shades that go perfectly together. There is a gold, a silver and a rose metallic in the trio. Today, we are going to look closer at the gold offering. Sneak peek of the trio at the end of this post.
My Sun is a dark antiqued gold metallic with linear holographic effect and silver holographic microglitters. The base of this polish is clear. It gets its color from yellow gold metallic microflakies. That yellow gold combined with the silver hexes and linear holographic shimmer gives the overall color more of a dirty gold or mixed metal feel. I really like that!
The formula is smooth and applied evenly but sheer. Since it does have that clear base, you could totally use this as a shimmery topper over another base color. Or you can build it up to full opacity like I have. This is three coats with a glossy top coat.
Takko Lacquer if having a preorder this weekend. You can order both the Late Summer Collection and the Metallics in Poetry Trio. Below are the three shades in the Metallics in Poetry Trio: My Sun, My Moon and All My Stars. Awesome, right?
Preorder will run from Aug 25th through Aug 27th. After those orders go out, there will likely be a regular restock. Be sure to check out Takko Lacquer's social media for restock and release announcements. I will be sharing the rest of the collection on my Instagram account through the weekend.

Jep, definitely need to use that pre-order :) Amazing polish!

I literally do not understand how to pre-order and never got a response to my email asking them to explain the procedure. It's now too late, but I'm turned off by Takkolacquer's lack of customer service.
ReplyDeleteA pre-order means that the polishes aren't made yet. The maker sets up a pre-order to see how many people are buying and then makes the polish. They generally will ship out the pre-orders in a few weeks. The ordering process is not different than just buying the polish. You will just be waiting longer to get the shipment because the polishes are being made. Does that clear it up for you?
DeleteThank you, Amy, but not really. Their restock info said they were restocking one of the polishes I was looking for, and it was during their pre-order window, but the polish listed on the site said "out of stock" so I could not add it to my cart in order to pay for it! So that is why I'm confused as how one pre-orders.
