Pipe Dream Polish Neons

Hello Summer!

We just had our first tropical storm of the season, so that means summer is in full swing!    Neon nail polish is the quintessential summer fashion statement.  They are so bright and so fun (especially on toes peaking out of the sand at the beach!).  Pipe Dream Polish is launching a new summer neon collection composed of seven crèmes and four jelly glitters called "A Night in Vegas".  Today, I have five of the neon crèmes to share!  I have been a HUGE fan of April's polishes.  I have a formidable army of these glittertastic babies, so I was beyond excited when she asked me to review her new collection.  I hope you will love these as much as I do!  This post is very picture heavy, so be sure to click through for all the photos and bring your sunglasses.

A little note about these neons.  I did not use a white base for ANY of these.  They were all opaque and even with 2-3 coats.  Like all neons, they did dry a little matte, so I used a glossy top coat to make them pop.  In general, neons are difficult to photograph.  My camera was freaking out with all the bright colors.  I tried to make these as true to the real color as possible.

Let's just start with my favorite!  Here is "110 Degrees" which is a bright orangey coral neon with a subtle orange shimmer.  This polish is so great!  It looks like a setting sun on my nails.   I also did a little flowery nail art using acrylic paints for fun.

Next up is a bright, tropical blue called "All In".  This is a very summery blue crème with a pink and blue shifty shimmer.  I did not see any staining with this polish and clean up was easy.  I used another Pipe Dream Polish glitter, "Sweater Stretchers", for a few accent nails.  That glitter has been reformulated into "Be My Flamingo".

How about a little highlighter yellow?  Here is "Light of Day" which is SUPER bright yellow with a subtle shimmer.  This had the trickiest formula of the bunch, but only three coats needed to even it all out.  For a neon yellow, it was pretty darn good.  I used a black and white glitter topper from Pipe Dream Polish called "She's a Thriller" over this polish.  So freaking bright!

Another highlighter color is "High Roller"  This is crazy bright neon green with a very subtle bluish shimmer.  Again, this was so bright my camera wanted to wear sunglasses!  I used some acrylic paints to make a little floral accent nail.

And last, but certainly not least, is the hot pink of the collection.  Here is "On the List" which is an amazing bright pink neon with a slight purple shimmer.  I wore this color on my toes to the beach this weekend and was in neon heaven!  I used a black gel pen to create my geometric accent nail.

I hope you loved these neons as much as I did.  The "A Night in Vegas" collection launches today at 6pm EST.  Be sure to stop by April's sites for more details and swatches of these lovelies.

Smooches!
